Day 1 – Arrive Calgary to Banff

Welcome to Alberta and the Canadian Rockies!  Your tour begins with a transfer from Calgary to the rich in history town of Banff.  Known for its Hot Springs, Banff has developed from a railroad stop to one of the best known resorts in the world!

Overnight – Fairmont Banff Springs

Day 2 - Banff

Bring your camera, as your “Discover Banff” tour takes you along Tunnel Mountain Drive for a great view of Banff.  Other highlights of this tour include: Cave and Basin National Historic Site, the “Hoodoo’s”, and a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for spectacular 360* views of the Bow Valley.

Overnight –Fairmont Banff Springs

Day 3 – Banff to Lake Louise

Your morning is at leisure to explore Banff on your own until a mid afternoon transfer to Lake Louise.  With long summer days you will have time to enjoy the beauty of Lake Louise and the Victoria Glacier.

Day 4 – Lake Louise

The Mountain Lakes and Waterfalls tour is offered from June 13 – Sep 27.  You will visit the natural attractions of Yoho National Park, cross the Great Divide to the Spiral Railway Tunnels and view the highest waterfall in Canada.  If you are traveling outside these dates a full Canadian breakfast buffet at the Chateau will be substituted for the tour.

Day 5 – Lake Louise to Jasper

It’s time to depart Lake Louise and travel on the Icefields Parkway to Jasper with a stop at the Columbia Icefields and a ride on the Ice Explorer.  Emerald lakes, towering waterfalls, and mountain peaks make this a day you will not forget.  Your full day sightseeing will bring you into Jasper early this evening.

Day 6 - Jasper

Jasper is not as well known as  Banff or Lake Louise, but people who have been there always wish they stayed longer.  Your Discover Jasper tour will explore Maligne Canyon, Medicine and Maligne Lake.  This excursion offers the opportunity to see wildlife in their natural environment.  From June 5–Sep27 the Maligne Lake cruise is included with a cruise to Spirit Island. Breakfast at the hotel will be included for those traveling when the cruise is not operating.

Overnight – Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Day 7 – Jasper to Edmonton

Today you leave the Rockies and travel to Edmonton.  Your destination is the West Edmonton Mall and the Fantasyland Hotel.  This is the largest indoor mall in Canada with shops and entertainment for everyone’s taste.

Overnight – Fantasyland Hotel Edmonton

Day 8 – Edmonton

A transfer from the hotel to the Edmonton Airport has been arranged.
