Eastbound

Day 1 Vancouver Arrival
You will be met on arrival at Vancouver International Airport and transferred to downtown Vancouver by limousine. Spend the rest of the day exploring this scenic city on your own. Admission to the Vancouver Observation Deck at Harbour Centre with spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean is included. Overnight at The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

Day 2 Vancouver to Kamloops, GoldLeaf Service
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia’s interior while enjoying the added comforts and amenities of GoldLeaf Service. Watch panoramic views of the spectacular scenery through dome windows and enjoy gourmet meals in the GoldLeaf Dining Room. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River, before you ease along the shores of Kamloops Lake into your overnight destination, Kamloops. Day 3 Kamloops to Banff, GoldLeaf Service
Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies. Once again you will see a spectacular range of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights include Craigellachie where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon and Spiral Tunnels of Yoho National Park. End your rail journey in Banff this evening. Overnight at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

Day 4 Banff
Today is at your leisure to explore Banff or simply experience the delights of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. You have a credit of CAD$500 per person towards Fairmont on-site facilities including the world-renowned Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Overnight at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

Day 5 Banff
Another day to enjoy the delights of this resort town nestled in the Rocky Mountains. Visit the Upper Hot Springs, the Banff Gondola or the Cave and Basin Centre, or simply enjoy a day at the hotel. Overnight at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

Day 6 Banff and Lake Louise
Your driver will meet you this morning in the lobby of The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for a tour of the Banff region by private limousine. Your driver will offer suggestions of places to visit, including Hole-in-the-Wall, Johnston Canyon, and Castle Mountain. Included in your tour is a 55-minute helicopter sightseeing flight over the Wilson Icefield. On arrival at Lake Louise check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, or join the one-hour guided lakeshore stroll which can is be taken any time during your stay. Overnight in a Deluxe Lakeside Room at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 7 Lake Louise
The day is yours at leisure to explore the beautiful shores of Lake Louise or relax in the comfort of the hotel. Fairmont hotel credits can be used towards any of the facilities at the Chateau, including restaurants, mountain heritage hiking programmes, spa treatments, canoeing, or horseback riding. Day 8 Lake Louise

Day 9 Lake Louise to Calgary
After breakfast you will be transferred by private limousine to Calgary Airport where your tour concludes.

Day 2 Lake Louise

On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and forests surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains to the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Day 9 Vancouver Departure
