Today you arrive in the exquisite and historic Quebec City. You will be met
at the airport and transferred to your hotel, where the staff will assist you
with your check in. Quebec City is a great walking city (even in the winter)
and the Chateau Frontenac is conveniently located to all the cities
highlights.

Enjoy one of the many popular activities, such as winter sports, snow
sculptures and activities based on the traditional Quebec lifestyle, such as
canoe races and dogsled races. The Quebec Winter Carnival is the largest
winter carnival in the world today and is third on the list of top Carnivals
after the famous carnivals in Rio and New Orleans.

This may be a hard choice to make… city tour or Ice Hotel; should you
decide to take the city tour you will visit the major sightseeing attractions
and learn of her fascinating history. See the Plains of Abraham, Grand-Alee,

Notre Dame de Quebec Basilica and Cathedral, City Hall, the Fortifications,
St. John Street and Place Royal.

warm hospitality. Every year the Hotel de Glace is redesigned and rebuilt in
its entirety.

Today you board VIA Rail for your three hour train-ride to Montreal. Please
refer to your train ticket for your travel times and plan to be at the station
at least 30 minutes prior to departure. It is a short taxi ride from your
hotel to the VIA Rail station, the cost should be about $6.00. The rail
station in Montreal is located under the lobby of the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth
Hotel. There is so much to see in this radiant city with its beautiful
churches, museums and of course, the underground city. You could take a stroll
through the Latin Quarter to see the trendy bohemian side of the city.

sightseeing tour brings to light Montreal’s history and achievements. Along

to the top of Mount Royal, through neighborhoods with splendid houses and a
striking view of downtown Montreal and the St. Lawrence River. Also atop Mount
Royal is St. Joseph's Oratory, one of the most visited shrines in the world.
On the way to Olympic Park, you will pass through some of Montreal's earliest
neighborhoods - with stairways that have a very interesting history.
Notre-Dame Basilica is beautiful and an exceptional example of Gothic Revival
architecture. Old Montreal, located along the shores of the St. Lawrence River
leads into the Old Port, one of the largest redeveloped old ports in the
world. Visit Bonsecours Market and City Hall in this area. If you want to
explore on your own, you will find that it is easy to use the underground
system or stroll through streets full of energy and atmosphere.

The rail station in Ottawa is just a short taxi ride from your hotel. An
afternoon train from Ottawa to Montreal, aboard VIA Rail let’s you sit back,
relax and enjoy the two hour ride. The Chateau Laurier is just a short taxi
ride from the VIA Rail station. The Fairmont Chateau Laurier puts you right in
the heart of everything: The Houses of Parliament, 12 national museums,
